We are happy to add as one of our ministries, Boy Scout Troop
# 27.
Logos Children’s Ministry
Sunday School
We have Bible study groups for all ages, covering various topics.
Many of the classes study the texts of the Revised Common Lectionary,
which includes an Old and New Testament text, and a Psalm and
an Epistle. The gifted teachers engage classes in discussions
about these texts and how they apply to our lives.
Cumberland Presbyterian Women
The Cumberland Presbyterian Women are vital to the congregation
as their primary role is to inform and support the missions of
the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, which sponsors missionaries
in various parts of the world. The Mildred Brown Circle and the Miriam Johns Circle are meeting various needs of the congregation and denomination.
JOY Club
The JOY Club is the senior adult group of First Cumberland. Meeting
once a month for fellowship, they enjoy each other’s company
and plan regular trips to plays, musical performances, and other excursions.
Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir is central to the worship life of the church. Led by Kathy Morelock, Patti Kuhns, and Frances Swafford, they serve a vital role in
the worship of the congregation. Leading us in worship each Sunday,
they lead appropriate anthems and lead us in singing. We are fortunate
to have such a talented group of singers.
Vacation Bible School
The summer begins with a bang as we have Vacation Bible School. VBS
has become a highlight of the church calendar. The adults have as
much fun as the children!
